Conclusion
So has the new Sapphire motherboard qualified for the “dark horse” status? The short answer is yes. It does lack SLI support which is somewhat unfortunate considering other boards in the $300 range have both CrossFireX and SLI options available. The Pure Black x58 does cover it up nicely with the other extra features it has such as Bluetooth, SATA III, USB 3.0 and excellent easy overclocking. Overall the Pure Black is a solid well rounded board in if you are thinking of a CrossFireX setup, the Pure Black x58 would definitely deserve a second look.
