The Dual-X cooler sports a purple and black color scheme and dual fans blowing over aluminum fins. Copper heat pipes snake through the fins to transfer the heat from the core.

Around back we have the various outputs including two DVI, one HDMI, and one DisplayPort.

Compared to the MSI 280 with the Twin Frozr IV cooler, our 285 with the Dual-X cooler has a slightly shorter PCB and longer and narrower cooler.
Putting it next to a Sapphire 7950 Flex which also has a Dual-X cooler, we see the new cooler is a little bit shorter and narrower.

Overclocking Results

With a low power draw and upgraded cooler, we have plenty of headroom to overclock our 285 as far as it will let us.
In the end we were able to get all the way up to 1120 MHz core and 1560 MHz memory clocks, a very respectable 16%/11% increase over the already overclocked settings and a whopping 22%/13% over stock.
