Anyone who lets a phone so take over their life that they cannot see a 3 foot opening in the ground deserves this. It infuriates me that the mother sees this as an opportunity to sue the local government and the girl thinks that she would have seen some orange cones better than a huge hole in the ground. I wonder if she would get upset that the stop signs don’t yell at her to stop if she is texting in her car when approaching one. Has technology robbed youth of common sense? I mean come on, one of the first lessons you learn as a kid is “Look where you are going”. Guess mom missed that one.
