3D mark06 is designed to test DirectX 9 performance while a older benchmark this one is a classic and can really show how far the cards have progressed. The images to the right are default settings the ones below are high settings. This card performed very well. 3dmark06-default3dmark06

furmark1080p Furmark is a high stress OpenGL benchmarking tool that renders a doughnut shaped ball of fur that uses special rendering algorithms to measure the performance of the card.
BF Bad company 2 is a squad based first person shooter from game developer EA. This game immerses the player in a realistic war torn world. the test demo that we run a mix of scenery and extensive shootouts with destructible environments. I compared the GTX 560Ti to a GTS 250 and a GTX 480. As you can see the 560 which is a mid range card holds its own against the 480 and even manages to pull ahead in the top end FPS. bad-company-2
cinebench

Cinebench is a real world test suite that evaluates your computers performance capabilities based on award winning animation software that renders a car chase scene and evaluates your computers ability to render the scene. Typically desktop graphics cards rarely come in first place when compared to cards such as the Nvidia Quadro. For a desktop card the GTX 560 did pretty good.

  1. DO NOT get one of these unless your PC has more cooling than a freezer!
    It’s the hottest running card I’ve ever used and on any AAA game title it hits 100c (I really wonder if it could boil water?), the fan only goes up to 75% speed (hard lock) and it crashes most games due to heat issues after a while of playing, and that is with it’s own fan & four (4) cases fans blowing around it.
    I’d hate to see the heat from it if you over clocked it!!!
    Was a great price, and it’s nice & powerful, but the heat kills it everytime! 🙁
