Closer Look
AMD’s Athlon series is geared at those looking for a good machine at a great value. It’s not their cutting edge, but it’s not their low end. It’s a happy medium. The Athlon series is designed for multimedia entertainment, multitasking, and productivity. This, however, does not mean you can’t play some games with them, which you can see towards the end of the testing section. The Athlon II 440 x3 is listed at just $89.
