AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition CPU-Processor

Sisoft Sandra:

Sisoft Sandra is another synthetic benchmark that tested a some specific areas of the processor’s performance markers. Once again with the Asus Crosshair IV Formula Motherboard showing the processor running at 4.01GHz and not showing much of a difference between its speed and overclocking an additional 100MHz we are just posting the stock 4.01 auto configured speeds.

AMD 980 @ 40.1GHz arithmetic benchmark

The AMD 980 did pretty well here with putting up a competitive score to an INTEL Core 2 Quad at  51.83GOPS at 4.01 GHz.

amd980-sisoft-cryptography
In the cryptography benchmark the AMD 980 shows it true colors with a score of 604MB/s which lead the Intel Core i5 and i7 940.

The cryptography benchmark took us by surprise with results showing the 980 was much faster than the Intel core i5 750S and the Core i7 940 processors all while the AMD 980 was running at 4.01GHz. Pretty impressive we have to say.

AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition Sisoft Multi Media
The SiSoft Multi Media benchmark once again took us by surprise with a score of 149.85 which scored better than the i7 860

So with the synthetic benchmarks provided by Sisoft the AMD 980 is doing pretty well. We  are quite pleased with the results and with the next processor line from AMD around the corner we can’t wait to see what it has in store as far a performance.

  1. Wow JUST a speed bump .. and yet it goes approx 1000x as fast as previous proc. You guys are sure hard to please. Quote “which easily breaks the 4k ghz barrier” .. looks like they found the secret sauce for their procs. OMG.

  2. You have very strange results in Cinebench R11.5. Maybe something went wrong in the test. In Windows my Phenom II X4 925@3.4Ghz scores 7.4. Here is my result, which is same
