The CP-850 is much bigger in size compared to the Cooler Master 550 power supply which of the standard size for power supplies on the market today. Since the CP-850 is much taller and includes a larger fan mounted on the side to assist with blowing air straight through the power supply where other power supplies pull from the bottom and blows out the back which forces the air to turn 90 degrees to escape out the back.

Conclusion:
The Antec CP-850 is a very nice power supply but without one of Antec’s new cases to install it in, you may be looking at obtaining a new case or modifying your present case with a pair of tin-snips. The CP-850 was very quite to the point it could not be heard over the heat-sink fan and case fans. The meter monitoring was much more extensive than what we could show with just two print screens, but we did notice that the changes in voltages were very insignificant to cause any affects on performance. So if your looking to get your hands on a new Antec case and would like a very nice power supply to go with it, take a look at the Antec CP-850. If you don’t have a newer Antec case but still want to harness the power that Antec has to offer, take a look at their TP series. They still have that build quality that we expect from Antec, but stick to the universal standards we have all come to know and love.
