Conclusion
Pros:
- Dedicated subwoofer/mid/tweeter
- Great mids and highs
- Clean sound even near max volume
- Simple set up
Cons:
- Muddy bass at times
- Volume might be an issue in larger rooms.
Overall I was fairly impressed by these Arion floor standing speakers. The three speaker set up allows for a wider range of sound with less crossover between the different frequencies. You get booming bass, clean mids, and crisp highs all in a simple to setup package. The only issues I really had with the 602s were that when the music got really complex with lots of bass (see the Testing section) it would start to get muddy down low and also that they don’t get quite as loud as I would like. At $350 they may seem like quite a chunk of change for some speakers but if you take in to account that you won’t need a receiver and that all of your devices will play through them without any complicated setup, the price is actually quite good. If you are looking for an easy-to-use quality sound system to bring your miniature home theater system to the next level, the Arion 602s can definitely provide that.
