CES 2010 – Smartfish

While attending Showstoppers during CES 2010 convention TechwareLabs was introduced to the Smartfish Technologies who showed off two of their new products called ERGOMOTION ™ Keyboard and the ERGOMOTION ™ mouse. These two products were to help resolve the problems with Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI) often known as carpal tunnel syndrome.

The demo ERGOMOTION ™ keyboard shown in the video below going through a full cycle of movement gives you an idea of how much movement to expect from the keyboard.

The ERGOMOTION ™ laser mouse was also interesting, though the demo Laser mouse we put our hands on did not reposition via servos likes the keyboard did, but rather it is good size mouse on a 2” pedestal which allows you to angle the up to several degrees to assist in rolling your hand from the standard flat position to nearly ninety degrees (nearly a handshake position).

The LASER Mouse does not adjust on its own like the Keyboard, though it does have a wide range of motion Shown above is the motion of and distance of travel the ERGOMOTION keyboard can travel.

Presently just the ERGOMOTION ™ Keyboard, ERGOMOTION ™ Laser mouse and ERGOMOTION ™ Game Controller are in production. Future products will include, Wireless keyboard, touch screen keyboard, handheld devices , Laptop, and industrial.
