Flashback:
CES 2010 a mere 6 months ago and we interviewed took a first hand look at the new notebook ecosystem from Shuttle. Essentially modular designed chassis and components so that laptops now have a standard and can be upgraded with ease. Not a revolutionary concept for the PC industry but certainly for the system builders as well as bringing a sigh of relief for the DIY crowd.
What are we talking about? See for yourself:
Flash Forward:
6 months later and the news wire has been very quiet with little news on this front. We come to find out that Shuttle has been building momentum with the key movers and shakers and have been rolling forward with their notebook ecosystem.
So what is different after 6 months? We see huge improvements in notebook design and ergonomics. The devices we see today are ready for the prime time and we expect this will only get better. Brushed metal finishes, chicklet style keyboards, your choice of color scheme’s, and of course customizable internal components all leading to a winning combination.
Gaming on your Ultra portable?
Taking that 17″ lead sinker laptop with you to the next LAN event? Spent a small fortune for a gaming laptop with a video card that will be out of date by this time next year? Wish you had your small fortune back in your wallet? We bet you do, and we can show you how you can take all that power without all that expense, and at a fraction of the weight. Wanna know how? Shuttle Party at Club Spark in the Taipei 101
Finishing off the experience with Shuttle we were invited to their party at the Club Spark. A trio of sexy ladies and backup guitarists led us through dancing and songs while we were fed Taiwanese cuisine and sipped on drinks from the bar.
