Looking inside the HAF 922, there is plenty of space to install a motherboard and route cables. The 5.25″ and 3.5″ bays are numerous and very easy to install devices with its toolless design. The 5.25″ bays are outfitted with a simple press-to-lock system and the 3.5″ bays are outfitted with a tray that slides and clicks into place similar to hot swappable hard drives found in enterprise class servers (there is no backplane to assist with hot swapping). One thing to note here is the right side panel may need to be removed in order to disconnect power and SATA ribbons if there is no slack to allow the device to be pulled from the slot.
Continuing on the HAF 922 like its big brother HAF932 is a very spacious case and even though it is clad with plastic face plates it is a very sturdy case. Also since the HAF922 is little lighter in weight, caring it to LAN parties is a more managable.
The I/O ports on the front of the HAF922 is pretty limited with just audio out/ MIC, eSATA, 2X USB ports. In our opinion having at lease two more USB ports would be desireable. | The case bottom is stamped out to allow air from through the bottom of the case. |
