The benchmarks consist of AIDA 64 and Performance Test suite by passmark.

AIDA 64 is used to test all of our high performance system because it provides accurate results and provides comparisons with other popular setups.

memory-latency

The Memory Latency benchmark measures the typical delay when the CPU reads data from system memory. Memory latency time means the penalty measured from the issuing of the read command until the data arrives to the integer registers of the CPU. The lower the time the better. This is heavily influenced by the timings o the ram as well as the CPU speed.
This benchmark is to measure how fast the memory can be read from the ram. The Crucial Ballistix sport kit performed very well when compared to a number of other strong contenders with lower timings.

memory-read

memory-write

This benchmark is to measure how fast the CPU can access data stored on the RAM. The Ballistix kit did quite well. This value is expected to be less than that of the read value.

Performance test by passmark provides a good overall benchmark that is less specialized than the AIDA 64 benchmark.

Performance test provides a all in one benchmark snapshot of average read/write times giving a good overall score.

memory-mark-performance-test

overall the Crucial Ballistix Sport kit performed very well, comparably even to higher performance models. Fortunately the sport series kits are designed to be quite a bit smaller than the higher performing ballistix kits. I am happy to see actual heat spreaders on the ballistix kit, far too often when using ram kits not designed for enthusiasts you get very little in the way of heat mitigation.
