The design with this is actually quite different and innovative. The hard drive just slips into the unit and connects with a slight push. 2.5″ drives are handled by flipping up the wall. To undock, simply pull the orange circle away from the unit and the drive is pushed out.
We can see that this dock isn’t much larger than a 3.5″ Hard Drive.
Also found by the orange release lever we see a LED showing usage: Another useful tool to avoid corrupting data. Although the whole unit is ABS plastic it feels quite solid and well made. The bottom has anti-slip pads but is missing mounting holes. While it is rare to mount a dock I feel this could be quite the nice mounted shop-dock. The Slipper also has a power switch located on the back for easy power on/off.
