We do see water-cooling ports on the back of the Buc 101 but there is not any internal hints that this case is water cooling.  Keep in mind If you plan on using this case for water cooling that you will be drilling your own mounting holes.

 

Exterior Connections

Here we see our 2x USB 3.0 ports next to our SATA Hot Swap Port. While the placement might seem a little odd (top vs front) it becomes obvious that they planned on the end user using the SATA dock as a shelf for an external hard drive or cell phone.

2x USB 2.0 ports and HD audio ports are placed below the 2.5″ bay and above the front fan inlet.

A closer look at the SATA dock shows us a nice “mouse pad” material where the drive would sit.  This is great a great lining for noise reduction as well as anti-static.  We also see a button on top of the dock to eject a drive safely.

Fans and Dust Control

The Buc 101 comes with three 120mm fans (top exhaust, back exhaust, front input) with expansion grates for one more (bottom between PSU and HDD cage).  This follows the rule of case fans that you always want to pull air through the case, not push it though.  This allows air to intake through the side grate which also has a magnetic dust filter on it.  This will not replace having a fan directly supplying fresh air to the video card / PCI slots but it does help.  I would have liked to see holes on the side grate so I can mount a fan or 2 there if I was so inclined.  The case also has a dust filter for the PSU fan.

Exterior Misc.

Here we will discuss some other features InWin has added to the exterior of the Buc 101.  To start lets talk about InWins “Tool-less Design” as it applies to the exterior of this case.  Removing the side panels is a very simple task: InWin has replaced the standard thumb screws with plastic latches on both sides.  While this is a Tool-less design, it brings into question how long the latches will be functional (they are made of plastic).  For someone who is rarely inside their case this is probably acceptable.  But for someone who is constantly inside of their case this might not be the best option.

Another quick point to make is the back fan exhaust has rubber grommets betwen the screw and the case itself preventing that annoying vibration sounds.

Finally lets take a quick moment to talk about ground clearance.  InWin has put their case on feet to add space between the floor and bottom of the case.  This is less important if you plan on putting this case on a hard surface (tile, desk, etc) but VERY important if you plan on putting this case on carpet.  Getting carpet “fuzz” can severely overheat a PSU or any other part of your rig.  While InWin has attempted to alleviate this problem, I still recommend placing (almost) any chassis on a hard surface.
