Final Thoughts

DDR4 is shaping up to become the mainstream choice for desktop computers as prices are coming down, availability is going up, and performance is putting DDR3 in its place. The Mushkin Redline DDR4-2667 quad kit was released at a great time to compete with major brands such as Crucial and G.Skill and the price to performance ratio is there to back it up. At $230 we get a great looking heat sink, amazing performance, and Mushkin’s lifetime warranty. Comparing it to the Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4-2400 with a recent price reduction to $165 we start running into issues deciding which RAM is best to use. We know the Mushkin Redline is faster, objectively looks better, and has the legroom to overclock but is it worth the extra $65? It is up to the consumer to decide, I personally am a sucker for sleek looking technology and would fork up the extra cash to be able to put these Mushkin modules in my system.
