Conclusion:
Palo Alto’s Cubik speakers really do bring a lot of “quality” to the table, for their $199 list price. The design, fit, and function accurately reflect Palo Alto’s mantra. Even thou these speakers didn’t provide me with the full sound I prefer, they did open my eyes to the highs, mids, and clarity that I didn’t realize I was missing with other speakers I have used in the past. The ultra clear listening experience was like HD for the ears, and if I could have slapped on a subwoofer…I think I would have been in audio nirvana.
Pros:
- Quality construction
- Stylish design
- Ultra clear highs and mids
- Simple setup
Cons:
- Inconsistent bass response
- No auxiliary source jack
