Patriot Division2 Viper Xtreme 4GB DDR3 RAM kit

Analysis and Conclusion

In review, we have absurdly fast RAM – quite possibly the lowest latency on the market, and with absolute gobs of bandwidth.  The heat sink could charitably be described as “excessive” but I think that more companies should consider the impact on product service-life of proper cooling.  It’s pricy, but given the performance, they could have charged significantly more.  Given the lifetime warranty, you can be sure it will work, and that it will keep working.  Considering as well that at the time of this writing, street price commanded only a $10 premium over the price of an average kit of similarly rated RAM, I believe this to be an excellent deal on an absolutely superior product.  It is for these reasons, and in recognition of the continuing innovation that lead to it, that I have decided “Awesome Hardware” does not say enough in praise of this impressive feat of engineering.  It is only with great consideration that we at TechwareLabs have chosen to bestow our Editor’s Choice Award to Patriot’s Viper Xtreme Division 2 low-latency RAM kit.
