Conclusions
Over all, this is an incredibly impressive card. Having replaced my previous GTX460, (an overdue upgrade, the two cards aren’t even on the same level) I am definitely a much happier gamer with this thing in my rig.
PROS
- Great performance
- Decent idling temperature
- Outstanding rate of cooling
- Easy to use controller software
- Comes overclocked (some may see this as a con)
CONS
- Tends to run hot
- When it runs hot, it runs loud
While not exactly top of the line, I do have to say that this card is an impressive addition to any rig, and it’s price of $249.99 (Newegg.com) is a solid one for a platform capable of this level of performance. I do have to say that I’m not a fan of the fact that the card came overclocked, but I’m not complaining about the increase in performance either. I just believe that the choice to overclock the card should be left up to the consumer. Opinions aside, I can only recommend this card for those interested in a higher end AMD card.
