A Closer Look:
First a small disclaimer. TechwareLabs does NOT condone piracy of any kind. Now that that’s out of the way; a faster memory card means that owners of modded PSP’s will be able to load their backed up games faster than if they were just on a UMD disk. I for one can’t stand the noise that the UMD drive makes when it’s loading game data. There is a noticeable performance difference when loading a game from the flash memory as opposed to from the UMD.
CrystalDiskMark:
CrystalDiskMark tests the average Sequential, 512K, and 4K speeds for read and write. We use different sized files (50MB, 100MB, 500MB, and 1000MB) to cover a broad spectrum of scenarios.

CrystalDiskMark is a good benchmark for determining how a drive behaves across a range of file sizes. We can see that the card falls short of the 15MB/s read speed that it claims. Admittedly this may be a bottleneck on the part of the PSP. It did however hit the proposed 9MB/s write speed.
