Gaming Benchmarks

Battlefield 3

Battlefield 3 is still a very popular title, and one that really looks gorgeous on Ultra settings and/or on multi-display setup.

We ran through the beginning of the second mission “Operation Swordbreaker”, recording the fps with FRAPS.

On a single monitor, the HD 7770 FleX was able to pump out a playable 31 FPS at Ultra settings, dipping as low as 24 FPS at times.

With a single card driving three displays (5760 x 1080) on Low settings, the HD 7770 FleX averaged 23 FPS and minimum of 19 FPS. It’s clear that trying to run BF3 at this resolution is simply more than one HD 7770 FleX can handle, so either another HD 7770 FleX in crossfire is needed or you would have to run in a lower resolution.

DiRT 3

DiRT 3 may not be the “latest”, but it’s still a great gaming benchmark for these entry level graphics cards.

The HD 7770 FleX averaged 43 fps at 1920×1080 with max settings configured.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Our test consisted of running up the steps to Whiterun castle and then looking back over the city. This is often seen as the most demanding area of the game.

The HD 7770 FleX averaged 55 fps at 1920×1080 with Ultra settings configured.

Unfortunately, we were unable to configure and run Eyefinity with the HD 7770 FleX. Given our other testing, we don’t feel the issue was related to the card, but more the game support.
