Dirt 3

Sapphire has included a Dirt 3 coupon with purchase of this card which is installed through Steam. Dirt 3 (released 5/24) is an intensive rally-style racing game with a high quality of detail in both foreground and background. The 6670 Ultimate performed average on both tests. I was surprised at the lack of difference between high and ultra that I did the tests multiple times, same result. While these fps’s are a little low, the game is still smooth and definitely play-able for a racing game. I did these tests at 1920 x 1080 resolution.
Starcraft 2

Starcraft 2 is a RTS game with quite intensive action scenes. To test this card using SC2 I used fraps: a benchmarking tool that gives Max, Average, and Minimum framerates during a set amount of time. I picked a 30 second section of a match that would test the card, a 600 piece battle between 8 computers. I retested this section on Ultra, High, and Medium settings (for both texture and graphics quality). This test represents the worst case scenario for a video card while playing Starcraft 2 at 1920 x 1080 resolution.
