HDTune Pro
HDTune Pro is much more detailed when it comes to results, testing the drive across a wide range of circumstances.
In the raw read test, the drive performed slightly worse on average, though its maximum was up near 90MB/sec. Access time came in at 17.5ms, which squares with what we’ve seen so far.
In the small file benchmark, we see the usual ramp up for the most part. There is a weird spike at the 1024 and 2048 file marks, perhaps indicating a cache optimization.
Looking at the medium file benchmark, we again see that odd spike at 1024 and 2048 files, this time peaking over 175MB/sec in the 1024 file read test.
Moving up to the large file test, we see the drive’s behavior settle down, averaging at 70MB/sec for both reads and writes once the file count moves up.
