Team Fortress 2
Continuing on with the testing, I next ran this CPU through its paces with Team Fortress 2. While it’s been out for a while, Valve has been continually polishing the balance and game engine on this crowd-pleaser, keeping it fresh for quite a while. For these tests, I chose a timedemo of a recent competitive match in cp_badlands, which can be found here. Unfortunately, one of the players’ computers crashed around the 12 minute mark, but the first 12 minutes are quite hectic enough to put this game through its paces.
Performance was superb, with average frame rate resting comfortably at 125 FPS in both tests. Depending on your monitor, it may be advisable to turn on Vsync with this game, to avoid excessive screen-tearing.

Do you peferr Intel over AMD or vice versa. I peferr Intel still even though AMD is clearly starting to give them a run for their money. I don’t particularly like Asus boards. I had bad experiences with Asus in the past. I peferr MSI, Intel, and Gigabyte.
