Featuring the latest P67 Intel chipset, The Fatal1ty P67 Professional Series Gaming Motherboard is one feature packed backbone that promises to deliver solid performance to support all your latest components.  Intel’s new P67 chipset for the new LGA 1155  2nd generation Intel® Core™ processor family featurins Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology in mainstream Core i5 processors and higher-end Core i7 processors. This Turbo Boost technology dynamically increases the processor frequency as needed by taking advantage of thermal and power headroom.

ASRock was certain to include as many I/O ports as possible along with an array of features to support the potential needs of the enthusiast user and hardcore gamer. This board is designed with careful consideration given to each part of the board to ensure a rock solid, stable, and feature-rich motherboard. In order to achieve stability ASRock used 100% Japan made premium gold capacitors, a V16+2 power phase to ensure smooth power delivery to the CPU, and Digital Pulse-width modulation (PWM) meaning the Fatal1ty P67 Professional Series can provide CPU Vcore voltage more efficiently and smoothly.  The combination of these features enables the motherboard to deliver power to critical components under continuous load effectively and reliably. Reliability and stability is a must have for any gamer.

Graphics, the way a gamer sees the game, is another important factor – The Fatal1ty P67 Professional Series Gaming Motherboard provides 3 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots which support ATI CrossFireX/ 3-Way CrossFireX/ Quad CrossFireX  and nVidia SLI and Quad SLI. This motherboard is ready for almost any graphics configuration you can throw at it. CrossFireX and nVidia SLI setups are becoming increasingly popular as game releases need more GPU power  to pump out those polygons!

Memory is critical for any system, and the Fatal1ty P67 Professional Series Gaming Motherboard features 4 slots of Dual Channel DDR3 2133 (OC). A fast CPU and high-end graphics card need blazing fast memory to bring it all together.  The memory slots on the board seat the memory well and provide a good tight fit with only 1 end of the slot featuring the lever.  This ensures that memory will remain seated, even during travel between LAN events.

Coupled with six USB 3.0 and six SATA3 ports, the Fatal1ty P67 Professional Series Gaming Motherboard offers plenty of storage options.  Your gaming system can also store your growing music and movie collection with little worry about running short of SATA or USB ports. This motherboard features the Etron USB 3.0 chipset instead of the more common NEC chipset.  The Etron chipset combined with Fatal1ty XFast USB technology provides an average read speed increase of 37% and average write speed increase of 98%.  ASRock also bundles a USB 3.0 front port panel that mounts in a standard 3.5″ bay or can be mounted in a standard PCI bracket opening in the rear.

ASRock included the Fatality F-Stream tuning software utility making overclocking and viewing current settings/stats of system hardware very easy.  The F-Stream application is also the adjustment center for the Fatality Mouse Port™.

The Fatal1ty Mouse Port™ is a customizable technology powered by ASRock’s F-Stream utility. Gamers may adjust the polling rate of the mouse connected to the port from 125Hz to 1000Hz.  The port defaults to the Fatal1ty preferred 500Hz.  Without this built-in component the only other options for adjust mouse polling rate involve complicated settings changes or modification of key system software components (such as the registry).

With such a powerful motherboard including so many additional features, how do we manage all the settings changes and most importantly how do we overclock the board?  ASRock loaded the Fatal1ty P67 Professional Series Gaming Motherboard with a revolutionary BIOS utility called UEFI.  Think of it as an overlay to a standard DOS -like BIOS.  The UEFI standard will be present on most motherboards released in the future due to wide adoption of the standard and many companies taking a vested interest in the Unified EFI Forum trade organization. UEFI is in one word – awesome. All the settings you could possibly need access to are right there on screen, organized neatly, and grouped together well for convenient access.  A great feature not found in your old BIOS – you can use your mouse to navigate point and click style.

For the overclocking extremist ASRock included some convenient features. Power and reset buttons are on the board and CMOS clear on I/O panel very handy for OC and testing your build before closing the case. The motherboard also includes Dr Debug, a display on board makes diagnosing problems easy. Dr. Debug outputs status codes for over 140 different issues, each code is listed in the manual with an explanation.
