Western Digital Se 4TB Review
Western Digital is continually trying to identify gaps in the market and tailor a solution that fills those gaps by providing drives that deliver the performance and features that are attractive to that market segment. With the recent release of their new Se series of drives, Western digital is bridging the gap between their enterprise Re series and their NAS WD Red series. Essentially, the new Se series is a low end Enterprise drive that provides similar performance of an Re drive with a lower cost per gigabyte (due to it's lower workload rating). On paper, this is a perfect solution SOHO/SMB that are looking for higher reliability and performance over desktop drives, but without the enterprise cost that generally comes with the jump from desktop to enterprise class drives.

Infortrend EonNAS Pro 510 Review
The EonNAS Pro series is comprised of Infortrend’s SOHO/SMB solutions and they come in 2, 5, or 8 drive variants. For the most part, all of their current x10 models come with 2GB of memory and are powered by an Intel Atom Dual-Core 2.13Ghz Processor. They do have a couple variants of the EonNAS Pro 850 which ramp up the installed memory to 8GB of memory and the processor to an Intel Core i3 Dual Core 3.3Ghz chip. In today’s review, we will be taking a look at the EonNAS Pro 510 specifically, which Infortrend sent to us with 4 x 1TB drives installed.

Synology DS713+ NAS
Sharing files over network is a somewhat awkward affair; either you set up a shared folder on someone’s computer and leave it running all the time—and hope it doesn’t crash—or you commit to the expense and trouble of setting up a dedicated file server. NAS devices are meant to occupy the gap between those two extremes, providing workstation-independent storage without the configuration headaches and electricity bill of a full-fledged server. Synology is one of the most prominent names in this space, and we’ve had ample experience with their products in the past. Today we’re going to be taking a look at one of their latest SOHO offerings, the DS713+.
