Crucial Ballistix 6GB DDR3 2133 MHz RAM Triple Channel Kit Review

Conclusion

This RAM is fast, there’s no denying that. The thing that you have to take into consideration is that we received it as a triple channel kit (meaning for the 1366 socket i7 chips). The sad truth is that these chips just aren’t going to be able to take full advantage of the RAM. If you were to put this kit in a different system running a Sandy Bridge or Bulldozer chip, you might see it able to use the full potential of the kit, but we have to review based on what we’re given. It’s hard to recommend this to i7 owners, as they’re better off buying a DDR3 1800 MHz kit and save themselves some money.
