Packaging:

The box for this motherboard is what you would expect form a motherboard this size. The Color scheme is standard for Gigabyte, White box with bright raised foil graphics depicting features within.

	Opening the box we can see the motherboard in a standard size anti-static bag, all of the goodies are under the motherboard in a cardboard sleeve.

	Standard accessories, software and drivers disk, manual, sata cables, io plate. Nothing special

A Closer Look:

This Motherboard is Tiny, space is definitely going to be at a premium. Immediately I notice the proximity of the ram dimm’s to the processor socket. I have been using a Thermaltake Frio cpu cooler. I can tell you right away that you are going to be very selective of the cooler you use, most of the traditional designs will cover the dimm’s conflicting with ram that has heat spreaders.

I’m drooling over the USB 3.0  goodness.

Intel’s H55 chipset combines the north and south bridge into one chip, a huge space saving advantage for gigabyte. It allowed them to include the NEC USB 3.0 chip and still keep the small form factor. While the H55 allows you to have HDMI output, you have to pair it with one of the approved Intel processors, otherwise the DVI and HDMI port will not work.

The ON/OFF USB charge port makes an increasingly mobile world more convenient. Most peoples phones not to mention an untold number of I devices all have the ability to charge off of USB. Now your computer doesn’t have to be on to do it.
