MemTach is a thoroughly exhausting benchmark that provides more information than you would ever need. From the data, we can infer that at stock speeds our RAM’s average memset is 7424.0 MB/sec and memcpy is 7524.3 MB/sec. The entire benchmark took 11.98 seconds to run. When overclocked we see that the average memset is 7393.4 MB/s and the average memcpy is 8394.2 MB/s, while the whole test took 11.37 seconds to run. It is odd that the overclocked average memset result is lower than the stock result, as everything about the run is higher, including the min and max memset.  Memset and memcpy are functions from the C programming language that are used to set the contents of a block of memory and copy the contents of a block of memory to another block, respectively. This is significant as a number of real world programs are written in C (less recently than in the past), so this can give a real world indication of performance in some apps. The real impressive part of the results is the amount of time it took to complete the test. The 1600 MHz Crucial RAM that we reviewed a while ago could only complete the test in 19.88 seconds, nearly twice that of the Reaper R2. This is no doubt due to the awesome timings that the Reaper R2 has.

PCMark Vantage

Made by FutureMark, the same people who make 3DMark, PCMark provides an all around benchmark for your system.

We can see that the overall score for the stock settings is 13570 while the overclock score is 14334. Some of this improvement is no doubt due to the processor being slightly overclocked at 2.8GHz. The improved memory speed does definitely help though.
