When you open the side panel you are greeted by an attractive, solid black interior. As I took of the side panel I found the rubber layer on the perimeter of the panel that makes sure tight fit and no rattle that many cases have. Very useful detail that could go unnoticed. The inside is quite spacious even for a mid-tower. You should have no problem fitting all your hardware in this case. The video cards can be as big as 10.5″ which is sufficient for almost any high-end video cards on the market today. The installation of motherboard was nothing unusual. Having had an experience with cases that have removable motherboard panel I believe it’s the best choice. Hopefully Thermaltake will use this solution on all of their cases also. Fortunately, Element S makes up big time in a different, more import point. You are more likely to change your CPU fan on regular basis than you are to change the motherboard itself. As seen on the picture the hole in motherboard panel allows you to easily change the cooling in case of a breakage or an upgrade. I cannot stress this enough having had to take apart everything over different fit CPU fan.

The PSU is installed after removing the the PSU support trey. This support trey can also hold 2 2.5″ HDD’s but with 9 3.5″ HDD bays I don’t see much of use unless you have spare 2.5″ HDD’s. If you don’t plan on installing 2.5″ HDD then the support is not necessary but it can be useful in managing the wires from your PSU. The wires from the expansion panel and the fans are long enough to easily reach the PSU or the motherboard. On top of that, these wires are well hidden and managed on the right side of the case so that all you see is the wire ends with jacks that are short enough to manage.
The 5.25″ drives are installed via good old screws and not plastic locks that have recently become very popular. The removable HDD rack also makes it easy to installed hard drives. The wires for your hard drives can be fed through a special track that was solely for that purpose. It is located right beneath the HDD track on the right side panel.
