In conclusion the usefulness of the VIA ARTiGO A2000 will depend on the end user and the applications which that user decides to run. The VIA Artigo (available from Nowdirect) is sold online for approximately $231 excluding the shipping. Keeping in mind that this is a barebones system, you would also have to consider buying RAM and hard drives. The RAM would be generally inexpensive and usually for about $20 you can get a good 1GB minimum stick. The hard drives range depending on the storage capacity of the drive. The maximum amount of storage the system allows per drive is 1.5 TB which will run you about $120 a piece (Seagate Barracuda). So potentially you are can be looking at approximately a $480 system if you use 2 1.5 TB drives. As expensive as it sounds, this is still considerably cheaper than the competing brands such as HP where you will get half the capacity for the same price. So the bottom line is, if you are someone who is looking for an inexpensive high capacity storage solution, the VIA Artigo A2000 would be my first recommendation and for that I would like to award it an awesome hardware award.
