As expected the NP160 runs from 4.5 to 5VDC, considering its USB powered this make perfect sense. The cooler is rated at 32CFM and while that is pretty good don’t let the stat fool you as that is MAX air flow. The 23dB rating means that the cooler is very quiet while still trying to reduce the heat accumulated by your laptop. Our experience has been that most USB powered laptop coolers do two things:
- Eat up precious battery life
- Do not cool very well.
It will be interesting to see if the NP160 is an exception to our experiences.
I definatly need one cooler for my compaq presario v3000…
