Eviant 7″ Digital TV

Antenna / A/V port

The I/O ports are also pretty simple design, also shown here is the right speaker. The attached antenna pulls right off revealing a co-ax port providing the ability to plug in other components.

The flexibility of the Eviant 7″ LCD is not limited to watching over-the-air digital TV, but also the flexibility to plug in other components like a console gaming system, a portable DVD player to name a couple. Simple on-screen setting change to change the LCD from providing over-the-air digital TV reception to an AV mode which changes the LCD into a monitor.

Menu

Powered on, the initial screen shows this splash screen which is a very sharp and colorful picture. Shown here is just one segment of the menu while the TV is scanning the air waves for a digital channels.

The Eviant 7″ LCD was able to pick up quite a few digital channel which were available in the Orlando area, which was surprising how many were available. Also the resolution may not be as high as a high definition TV which is displaying 720P or even 1080P, the Eviant 7″ LCD still looks a lot better than the old analog broadcast.

Conclusion:

It has been almost two decades since this reviewer relied on over the air analog reception, so I was quite surprised with the number of available digital channels and how great the picture looks. The digital signal broadcast today is without question amazing. Eviant has released two products to consumers which brings the digital picture, and sound to you in a small, portable package you can take with you anywhere. The options available to consumers today are numerous when it comes to watching digital content. Most of these options require unlimited data cell phone plans or access to the internet which can be pretty pricey. Eviant released their 7″ and 5″ digital TVs which after the initial purchase, the content is free. Finally the option of having a portable, battery powered LCD TV handy is for those times which severe weather strikes and cable and satellite is unavailable along with power loss. With the price of the Eviant 5” and 7” LCD TVs being under $100, how can you afford not to own one?

    • can this plug to your home tv

      • Victoria – It is possible to plug the Eviant 7″ TV into your home cable, satellite, or even game consoles. The Eviant 7” TV has a Co-ax plug (where the antenna plugs in) where you would plug in the cable from the cable/satellite box or game console and then within the TV menu you would change from AIR to A/V mode.
