Thoughts and Conclusion

Evaluating RAM is always a tricky business. While under performing memory will certainly make itself felt, there’s always the question of bottlenecking. When evaluating this Super Talent Extreme Performance DDR3 Dual Channel kit, it was clear from the start that this RAM would go just as fast as I would let it. The only issue I encountered, in fact, was during installation. The combination of large CPU heatsink and tall heat spreaders meant that this kit would not slot into the first two slots on the motherboard. If you do plan to use this kit, make sure your heatsink allows for at least a centimeter of extra clearance above the ram slots. I solved the problem by simply moving the kit over to slots 3 and 4, and encountered no problems from that point forward.
That one issue aside, this kit is a solid performer. Super Talent has once again delivered a great product.
