The fact that installation is so easy will make this product appealing to many people that would have otherwise hired a company and purchased higher-priced equipment. The video image quality is good, but hopefully the aforementioned service updates will increase the quality of the image. The hardware is stable and includes features that will be utilized in the future, such as on board USB and audio capabilities. Remote control of the PTZ camera responds well and gives users the option of covering a larger viewing area with 1 camera unit. Deciding to include infrared LEDs on both camera units was a great idea, the ability to function in low light or nighttime should be standard for all network cameras.

The LiveLine monthly service cost of $9.99 is just about right given the ease of use and features such as online storage, mobile viewing, and emailed alerts. The ability to view the camera stream from any internet connected computer is excellent. The cross browser support (we tested FireFox 3.6.3 and Internet Explorer 8.0) is another great feature. This service will grow with time with upgrades in the near future and the endless possibilities of new features in another reason why the LiveLine service is a great complement to the camera hardware chosen by AVC.
